Our Story
Established in 2012, the Builsa South District is located in the southern part of the Upper East Region, with Fumbisi as its capital. The district covers 1,260 square kilometres of fertile land that supports vibrant agricultural activity and a rich cultural heritage.
Builsa South District is a leading food-producing area in northern Ghana, advancing through innovation and community effort. Guided by a vision of sustainable growth, the Assembly and its partners improve education, health, water, and economic opportunities for residents.

Services
Development & Building Permit
Development and Building permitting is the main instrument for controlling or managing physical development.
Business Operating Permit
It is expected that every business within the Assembly’s jurisdiction obtains a Business Operation Permit.
Outdoor Advertising Permit
Application forms duly completed by applicant(s) should be submitted to the Physical Planning Department .
Waste Management Services
Services of the Environmental Health Unit ranges from waste collection and disposal, public cleansing to advisory services.
